About

The project, situated at the east end of the European school, consists of two separate gymnasiums.

The narrow terrain determined the compact building, directly connected to the existing school at the playground level, which is located 2.2 m below the Boulevard Konrad Adenauer level. This difference in height reduced the visual impact of the building on the boulevard, while at the same time answering to the continuity of the existing school, emphasizing one of its extremities. The tight budget and a short period of 28 weeks designated for the construction, influenced the choice of the finishing. The interior is defined by an exposed prefabricated concrete, occasionally marked with color elements, aimed to be used as a guide in space. Visible white installation elements are contrasting the gray of the concrete. From the outside, the façade opens towards the playground, following a regular pattern.
